Twentymile Coal Company/Peabody Coal

Peabody's Twentymile Mine near Oak Creek, Colo., is one of the largest underground mines in America. The mine ships nearly 8.6 million tons of high-Btu, low-sulfur steam coal to customers throughout the Midwest and Southwest. The mine also serves a growing export customer base, fueling large utilities as far away as Italy.

Trapper Mine is six miles south of Craig along Highway 13, adjacent to the Craig Station (power plant).
