Victory Motors and Rick Upchurch, former Denver Bronco, one of the top punt returners in NFL history and most recent inductee into the Ring of Fame, are teaming up to fight cancer in northwest Colorado.
Rick Was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia and has made it his personal mission to help others in their fight against cancer. He is doing very well, but due to his rare form of cancer he will be on medication for the rest of his life. Victory Motors is joining Rick in his to raise awareness and to help others raise money in their fight against cancer.
All money raised will be given to the Moffat County Cancer Society.
Victory Motors is celebrating its 39th anniversary of serving the Yampa Valley and will be hosting two days worth of events while raising money for the local cancer society. The car dealership has set a goal to raise $25,000 for the local society by the end of 2014, they will donate $50 from every car sold in the rest of 2014 to this cause.
Kids NFL 60, a program to get kids active for an hour, will be an available program for kids, along with a bounce house, field goal kick and dunk tank.
