Trick or ... fish?
It's that time of year again! The Jungle Pet Shop in Craig will be handing out candy as well as goldfish to trick-or-treaters. Here are a few tips on keeping your goldfish once you get it home:
1. Do not put your goldfish straight into tap water. Chlorine is harmful to goldfish gills, so you should either use aquarium water conditioner or let water stand in an open container for 24 hours prior to introducing your fish.
2. Do not overfeed your goldfish. Only feed what they can completely consume in about a minute, once or twice a day. ( Samples of fish food will be handed out to get your started.)
3. The goldfish are packed to last UP TO 3 DAYS in the bag they are handed out in.
