Event Description:
For mental health professionals. (Effective Providers for Child Victims of Violence). This workshop is an overview of validated assessment tools and seven American Psychological Association (APA) -approved continuing education credits. Plus, a variety of educational materials that cover the impact of violence on children and adolescents, cultural competency, a family-centered treatment model and clinicians' self-care. RSVP by 5 p.m. May 6. The workshops is presented by Meghan Hurley, licensed clinical social  worker, of River Bridge Regional Center and brought to our community by Connection for Kids. All workshops are open to parents of or professionals who work with Moffat and Rio Blanco County children.
