Event Description:
Attention seniors of Moffat County. Please make time next Tuesday, Dec. 16th from 9 a.m. to noon, for Coffee & Conversation at the Senior Social Center located in Rm 200 of the CNCC Bell Tower. As a Special Christmas treat, we will have the Cedar Mountain Strings Ensemble playing Seasonal music from 11 a.m. to noon, with a chance to sing-a-long (booklet provided). Bring a friend and enjoy the music, coffee, conversation, treats and games. If you have questions, please call 970-326-3188. The mission statement of the Senior Social Center is "To establish a permanent accessible gathering place to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens through socialization, exercise, creativity and education."
The program committee is working on developing activities that will start soon, as well as ones that may be added later. So we will start with a "Coffee Shop" where seniors can meet and socialize.
The membership has voted to form an association and to pay minimal dues to help support the center. Some activities may request a small donation to help support the activity. No one will be turned away who cannot or will not pay the dues or make a donation, Instead, we will look for scholarships and donations so all may participate.
