Name: NW Transportation Planning Regional Meetings
Date: June 7, 2013
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM MDT
Event Description:
Recognizing that transportation is key to Coloradans' quality of life and our economy, CDOT is building on the ongoing statewide effort called "Transportation Matters" to update Colorado's statewide transportation plan.
CDOT invites you to provide your thoughts on the transportation issues that matter most to the Northwest region. In the upcoming months, we will work with Gunnison Valley and other transportation regions of the State to develop a multi-modal transportation vision that supports Colorado's economic development, rural road safety, and other critical needs. Two meetings will beheld in our area to examine current and future conditions and to identify transportation priorities. Meeting #1 will be to discuss and update regional priorities. Meeting # 2 will be to identify projects that best reflect regional priorities.
The Statewide Plan matters. It will provide the framework and strategies for deciding how and where money is invested in highways, transit, rail, bike, and other programs and it will guide transportation project selection into the future. If you use transportation, we hope you will get involved.
