YOU can shape the future of Moffat County by participating in the Moffat 2035 community vision process. Unlike community planning which is generally government driven, this project both emphasizes and relies on citizen input. The results become a roadmap to define community projects and values decided on by residents, not consultants.
This is your chance to effect change!
Why create a 20-year vision?
Shaping the county's future requires input from residents
Defines community's vision
Define potential projects and areas of focus
Create a document community leaders can refer to when planning
Increases citizen engagement
Discussion will be held surrounding four pillars: Economy, Environment, Social and Civic.
Community meetings will be held Dec. 3 in Craig, Dec. 8 in Maybell and Dec. 9 in Craig.
Those unable to attend any of these meetings are encouraged to provide their feedback on an online questionnaire.
"Communities have to make a conscious choice if they want to be successful or not. Communities have to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses. However, if the community members themselves don't write their own plan for success, then they won't truly believe in it as a community and there won't be the commitment to follow through with the plan."
