Each year, the Craig Daily Press accepts community nominations for its Teacher of the Year award. This is the sixth year the Daily Press will present the award. Past recipients are Amy Pottinger, Rosie Crosthwaite, Sylvia Duncan, Deb Frazier and John Bolton.
The Daily Press believes teachers have one of the least-appreciated careers and yet one that is most deserving of praise. We want this award to be about teachers who go above and beyond without regular praise or recognition and encourage their students to think outside of the box.
And we need your help. Please take the time to tell us about your favorite teacher and why he or she has made a difference in your life. Then simply drop this form off or mail it to the Craig Daily Press, Attn: Michelle Balleck, 466 Yampa Avenue, Craig, CO 81625. You can also email your responses to mballeck@craigdailypress.com.
The deadline to submit entries for the 2010-11 award is 5 p.m. April 29, 2011. The winner will be notified in mid-May 2011. Call Michelle Balleck at (970) 875-1790 or email her at mballeck@craigdailypress.com for more information. Thank you in advance for your nomination!
