Local Tourism Planning Workshop

Moffat County Tourism Association (MCTA) and Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership (CMEDP) are working with the Colorado Tourism Office to bring the Colorado Rural Academy for Tourism (CRAFT) Studio 101 program to Moffat County.

CRAFT Studio 101 is a 12-week, comprehensive training program provided to select rural communities that are in the beginning stages of building tourism into a viable and sustainable economic strategy.

There are tourism planning workshops scheduled at the start and finish of the 12-week program, with industry-specific learning labs in between. The full schedule is:

  • Kick-Off & Tourism Visioning Workshop - Complete
  • Rural Tourism & Sustainable Tourism Learning Lab- Complete
  • Outdoor Adventure Tourism & Visitor Readiness Learning Lab- Complete
  • Marketing and Social Media & Culinary and Agritourism Learning Lab- Complete
  • Local Tourism Planning Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8 in Room 185 at Colorado Northwestern Community College, 2801 West Ninth Street, Craig

  • Program Wrap-Up Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 in Room 185 at Colorado Northwestern Community College, 2801 West Ninth Street, Craig

The workshops are offered free of charge and can be taken a la carte or as a complete program. Lunch will be provided.
