Event Description:
Participants will receive a safety certificate showing they have completed the class, which enables them to apply for a concealed carry license though the Moffat County Sheriff's Department. The concealed carry permit that is obtained is good for five years. This is the NRA Basic Pistol Class.
Requirements for Conceal Carry
1. Handgun & 50 rounds ammunition
2. Eye and ear protection
3. Photo ID (driver license, state-issued ID, or passport)
4. Must be a United States citizen or must be lawfully present in the United States
5. Must be at least 21 years of age
6. Not under indictment or been convicted of a felony in the U.S. or elsewhere
7. Not convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence
8. Not under court order (i.e. order of protection, harassment, etc.)
Not a fugitive from justice
9. Not a user of or addicted to any controlled substance
10. Not been dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces
11. Have never renounced U.S. citizenship
12. Do not suffer from mental illness and have not been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution.
