David Mason, Colorado's poet laureate, will be visiting the Craig community. David will be conducting workshops in the middle and high schools during the day on the 14th, and will present some of his own work to interested Moffat County citizens in the Commons area at CNCC, Friday night at 7:00 p.m. He will also be a part of a "Meet and Greet" at Downtown Books on Saturday, Mar 15, at 9:30 a.m. All events are free. A Colorado Poet Laureate is appointed by the governor of the state for a four year term. Mr. Mason was appointed by Bill Ritter in 2010. One of David's goals during his term was to visit every county in Colorado. Moffat is one of the few he has not visited before. It will be a pleasure to have him here! He is being sponsored by CNCC, Northwest Colorado Chapter of the Parrot Heads, Randy Looper and the Elk Run Inn.
