133 Book Project, 13,000 students, 13,000 books. Bring literacy home for the summer. Research has shown that if your send kids on summer break with reading material on topics that interest them, they'll show up in the fall having retained more of the reading skills they learned last year. "Research clearly shows the key to stemming summer reading loss is finding novel ways to get books into the hands of children during the summer break." Drop off your gently-used books in the receptacles at any Moffat County School. If you want to donate new books for students, see our suggested reading lists at any of our receptacle locations. Help us send each pre-schooler through 5th grade student home with 10 books this summer. Now through April 13, we're collecting gently used books, new books and cash donations. We'll let kids choose the books they want to take home for the summer. We also welcome tax deductible, monetary donations.
