ZIRKEL Wireless is a locally owned and operated, leading provider of High-Speed Internet access and was founded in 2001. The ZIRKEL Network has the largest High-Speed Internet coverage area in Northwest Colorado. We provide fast, reliable and affordable Internet connections with the responsiveness of a dedicated local team. Our multiple antenna sites around Routt and Moffat counties are continually being upgraded to answer the ever-changing demands of our Internet subscribers.

Sales Representative Job Description

This position requires an energetic individual with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be proficient and enjoy communicating about technology and Internet services. Job requirements include general customer service, taking orders for new service, and being involved in the Craig Community. There are a variety of tasks this positions performs, which may vary from day to day. Must be self-motivated and impose and adhere to deadlines. The Sales Representative will cultivate effective customer & community relationships, solicit and oversee the development of profitable new business.

Responsibilities Include

  • Sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities
  • Develop, review, and report on the business development contributions
  • Update management team on current projects and new developments
  • Will be responsible for executing sales strategy as directed by Operations Manager; including lead follow-ups and proposal writing
  • Must perform liaison functions between the customer and ZIRKEL
  • Data entry and taking new customer orders
  • Scheduling a team of installers
  • General Customer Service
  • Process customer payments
  • Respond to customer's needs in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Be a positive representative of ZIRKEL Wireless

Requirements for Role

  • A High School Diploma is required. A college degree in business, marketing, or communication is preferred.

Skills Required

  • Comfortable seeking out new leads (including cold calling) and providing realistic reports with the confines of a set budget
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship
  • Enjoys competing for and closing the sale
  • Must have the ability to quickly build rapport and credibility with corporate entities
  • Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and adjustment to priorities
  • Proficient user of technology including the Internet, computers, tablets and routers
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently & stay on task
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Type 35 words per minute minimum
  • History of punctual attendance at work
  • Patience, tact and the ability to handle difficult customer situations
  • Geographic knowledge of Routt and Moffat Counties
  • Valid drivers license
  • The ability to stay motivated, have fun and enjoy your work environment

This position will range from 25 - 40 hours per week depending on qualifications and experience. Working Saturdays is required. Training will take place in our Steamboat Office for the first couple weeks. After an initial training period, a typical schedule could be 8:30am - 5:00pm in our Craig office with few trips to Steamboat. Work schedule could change depending on the season so flexibility is needed. Pay depending on experience.
