Name: Quilts in the Country
Date: September 8, 2017 - September 9, 2017
Event Description:
A show featuring unique quilts from across Northwestern Colorado benefiting Meeker's P.E.O. Chapter. Show features new quilts each year as well as historical quilts such as Meeker's "Pioneer" quilt which is steeped in rural history and was pieced together by some of Meeker's earliest pioneer women over 80 years ago.  Event includes an "Opportunity" Quilt which has been created by the Meeker chapter.  Tickets for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind quilt can be purchased during the show.  Winner will be chosen at the conclusion of the show on Saturday afternoon and need not be present to win.  The show also features a country bake sale showcasing handmade baked goods, jams, jellies, breads, cakes and pies.  Handmade quilted items are also available for purchase as well as fresh-from-the-garden, locally grown flower bouquets. If you have a special quilt, we encourage you to enter it to be displayed.
P.E.O.'s mission is to assist women in their educational endeavors in our community, our state and our world.  All proceeds benefit P.E.O. projects and scholarships.,
